Cheating

I was telling Ernest about my X who cheated on me.

The conversation started out....I don't remember but I remember him talking about how if a girl cheated on him, it was over. Even if she told him, wat drunk, and was sorry about it, he wouldn't forgive her.

Then I told him what happened to me. She cheated once, as far I as know, told me about it and yea I was pissed. All she said she did was hook up, I believed her. So I told him I thought about, I did love her, she didn't do much, and she was honest enough to tell me, so I forgave her for it. Can't hold grudges and sometimes things happen. You just gotta grow up, let go, and move on. He's influenced by an affair in his family which caused childhood drama.

But just because a person cheats doesn't mean they don't love the other person. People cheat at times just because their horney. Like I love some one very dear to me right now but that doesn't mean its wrong to like/desire other girls. Other girls have nothing what so ever to do with how I feel about her. It can be the same thing for cheating, the just desire other people and have no self control.

That doesn't mean its okay to cheat. If you cheat, you shouldn't be in a relationship in the first place. Cheating is wrong because it disrepects the other person who your cheating on and abuses the trust they have given you. So the question is, what should be done if someone you love cheats on you? How do you react? Can you see cleary?

Its easy for one to say, "Yea, I would work things out" or "No, its over", but its different when it actually happens.

But what really got me is how he said, what I did when I was cheated and how I still talk to her today made him think differently about women and cheating.
